The Forbidden Kingdom

Inspired by an old Chinese legend, that of the Monkey King, The Forbidden Kingdom lies between ancient China and the United States of nowadays.
An American young boy who is very interested in kung-fu and other things related to the Chinese culture discovers in an antiquities shop the legendary stick weapon of the Monkey King (Jet Li). Unaware of the power that the stick owns, Jason (Michael Angarano) is sent back in time to ancient China.
He joins a band of martial arts warriors in order to free the Monkey King who is being kept prisoner by the evil Jade Warlord.
In his attempt to liberate the King, Jason is helped not only by the warriors but also by a wise kung-fu master Lu Yan (Jackie Chan).

If he succeeds in his mission or not you can only find out by watching the movie which is also a good example for those who want to understand the real meaning of kung-fu.

‘The Forbidden Kingdom’ is a film in which reality and fantasy meet in order to obtain a production that will impress by originality and quality. The releasing date will be on April 18th, 2008 but until then you can enjoy some parts of the film by watching the trailer.
