Nicckleback Singer Charged with DUI

The lead singer for the rock band Nickelback, Chad Kroeger,was convicted of drunk driving in Vancouver on Tuesday.

This started on June 22, 2006 when Kroeger was pulled over by police for driving his Lamborghini 100 m.p.h. through a residential neighborhood, in the morning. Police claims that he had red and glossy eyes and that when they asked for the driver’s license, the singer gave them hi credit card.

During the trial, Kroeger’s attorney petitioned that the Breathalyzer test to be left out. THe band singer had a result of 0.14, almost twice the legal limit of 0.08. However, the judge refused the demand, and the test was considered as an evidence.

Kroeger was not present for the trial but he is cited to appear on 1st of May for the sentence. He faces a one-year suspension of his license and a $600 fine.
