Jake Gyllenhaal does “Vanity Fair”, Italian Style

Jake Gyllenhaal is most famous for the role he had in the controversial movie “The Brokeback Mountain” in which he had the former deceased Heath Ledger, as a colleague.

The young actor has recently appeared on the cover of the Italian version of Vanity Fair, holding his trusty bicycle, which we haven’t seen him ride in far too long. Jake looks as studly as ever, but I’m a little disappointed that he is wearing a shirt in all of the shots. Perhaps he wasn’t in the mood during the photo shoot, since he has been having a very dealing with the death of his “amico vero” Heath Ledger.

The shoot does look like it would have been difficult. It seems most of the photos show Jake engaging in traditional male bonding activities all by himself. Jake in a boat on a pond. Jake fishing. As much as I enjoy looking at him, I imagine that the scenes only served to remind Jake that he recently lost his best bud.

In the interview he has admitted that the movie “Brokeback Mountain” has give him the faith he has now in hos career, but most important he won a true friend…that being Keith Ledger.
