It’s official. The Spice Girls have had their final concert and gave their farewell to their fans on Wednesday.

“Our time is up … we’ve come to the end of the road … there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we’ve come!,” the group wrote on their Web site. “Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true.”

The letter to fans on the Spice blog was signed with love from Emma [Bunton], Geri [Halliwell], Mel B [Brown], Melanie C [Chisolm] and Victoria [Beckham] after concluding a song best summed up their feelings:

“Goodbye my friend, it’s not the end … So glad we made it, time will never ever change it … ”

The Spice Girls, who last year reunited for the first time since 1998 and completed shows in Europe and the U.S., closed their tour with a show in Toronto Tuesday night. They were originally scheduled to go to Australia and South America, but family obligations and an already overextended timeline wouldn’t allow for it.

As for whether the Spice Girls are done for good or just taking another break, the ladies write, “We look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come.”

Is it me or it was a really snoozy Oscars this year?

Marion Cotillard looked totally hot in this mermaid type fish scale dress by Jean Paul Gaultier. I’m still trying to figure out why Hannah Montana was there. For real, is she an Academy member? Was it just Miley Cyrus product placement? She looked way older than 15. I mean, she wasn’t wearing pasties or anything but some dude could get the wrong idea. She’s barely out of freshman year! Stay on the tour bus and write in your rainbow journal.

A lot of oldies dominated this year, like Helen Mirren, Ruby Dee, and Julie Christie. These women wore sorta fug outfits but wore them with class. Tilda Swinton wore a big tall black velvet bag but she could have worn a bikini made of fudge and still looked avant-garde and icy and beautiful. Katherine Heigl has a serious case of stagefright during the show, and t I thought she looked hot in fire engine red. Keri Russell has this pale swan thing going on. And the standout chick was Diablo Cody who wore this feline giraffe type outfit that showed off her gigantic tattoos. We need more strippers on the red carpet. Kimora Lee Simmons doesn’t count.Oh, and last but not least, Anglina who looked just like Morticia Adams.What happened here? The whole marriage story is a style murderer?

For guys, it always seems to be pretty easy–just shower, shave and throw on a tuxedo that doesn’t make you look like you’re catering the event. This year, it doesn’t look like there were any glaring misses amongst the male celebrity attendees of the Academy Awards with most of the men keeping it simple with either a black bow tie or just a simple, monochromatic tie.

In the sea of black and white, a few guys managed to accessorize in a way that only men can–using their facial hair. James McAvoy and Viggo Mortensen had grown out a beard for the occasion, distinguishing them from their clean-shaven counterparts. Spike Lee and Wesley Snipes mixed it up with some glasses, with Spike sporting an pin featuring Barack Obama’s face on his lapel, and Wesley mixing it up with a navy suit, instead of the traditional black that everyone else seemed to be wearing.

All in all, I have to say that everybody looked as if they took the advice of their girlfriends and wives, kept it simple, elegant and my two favorite guys of the evening were Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem.
