Heather Mills owe her lawyers $3 million…and decides to sue them!

Everyone knows about the scandal with Paul McCartney and his ex wife, Heather Mills.

The still not-yet divorced wife has decided to sue her former attorneys, to whom she currently owes almost $3 million, for giving her “bad advice”. Mills owes almost 20 months of unpaid legal bills to her divorce lawyers Mischon de Reya, one of Britain’s tand most well-known divorce firms.

Insolvency lawyers at Mishcons are expected to pursue legal action in the next few weeks, alleging Mills often refused to take their legal advice. Mills is also preparing to go to court for an intense, five day hearing, which will determine how much of Paul McCartney’s fortune, over $1.2 billion, she’ll receive.

Sir Paul is believed to have offered Ms Mills a lump sum in the region of £20 million, as well as an annual payment of some £2.5 million until the couple’s daughter, Beatrice, reaches 18 – a total package worth £55 million from his estimated £825 million fortune. But the deal depends on her agreement to a confidentiality clause. Ms Mills is reported to be pushing for a package worth nearer £70 million to £80 million.

If the McCartneys had a prenuptial agreement, a financial deal would have been far easier to achieve.
