Hayden Panettiere is following in the footsteps a number of young pop culture icons and has partnered up with Candie’s. The blonde “Heroes” actress got all sexy for the promotional campaign for the brand, which has her wearing all kinds of pink, frilly girly clothes. It’s for their line for Kohl’s and it’s so sugary-sweet, it’s making my teeth hurt.

Here are some pictures from the Candies campaign party, which was held at Hyde. And with all the young, fresh faces on the red carpet, Kristin Cavallari, all the Kardashian sisters and whatnot, Johnathon Schaech looked a little worn down.

Moreover she has lately been working at her new album. Hayden is set to delight fans by releasing her much-anticipated debut album later this year (08). The actress admits she has been working on the record for the past three years, but finally got an opportunity to update her sound thanks to the Hollywood writers strike, which gave her some free time to experiment musically. The teen star first began recording aged 15, with her tunes appearing in movie soundtracks including 2007’s Bridge To Terabithia. But Panettiere insists her new work is a change from the songs of her early teen years. She tells MTV.com, “I’ve grown up a lot since I started.”
