You can kiss the cook goodbye! Even though Gwyneth Paltrow is one of the most present ladies in Hollywood, at home she replaces the red carpet with the kitchen carpet.

Yes, she doesn’t have a personal chef. She admitts that she loves food and liks to spoil er husband, Chris Martin and her two children.

“I cook all the meals for my house,” Paltrow declaed in New York Sunday at the launch party of her new PBS food show, Spain … On The Road Again, with her best pal Mario Batali. “I really love to cook.”

So what’s on the menu for Paltrow and her two children, Apple, 4, and Moses, 2?

“Breads and pizzas is what I’m cooking and we all love it,” she said. “We have a wood burning pizza oven in our garden. Right now the weather is nice in London, so I’m using that oven a lot. You can cook anything in there. It’s amazing.”

The actress inherited the passion and love for food from her late father, Bruce Paltrow, and now she is trying to improve one of her dad’s trademark recipes.

“My dad was a famous pancake maker and I’m working on [adapting his] recipe right now,” she said. “I’m making mine slightly healthier.”

With all the negative examples of the celebrities consuming drugs, it was about time to have a positive example. It is well known that celebrities and drug use come as a match.

Gwyneth Paltrow is getting behind an initiative to help educate school children and prisoners on the dangers of drugs and quit drinking.

The actress was spotted at the Odeon in London’s Leicester Square for the Prince’s Trust and RBS Celebrate Success awards yesterday.

Ian Fisher won the Learning and Skills Council Young Achiever Award. And Gwyneth sang his praises recently to the press.

She said, “Ian has shown remarkable will-power and strength of character to overcome drug addiction and prison. I am personally humbled by how such a young man can put his past experiences to good use and help others avoid similar problems.”

Paltrow continued, “I am a great admirer of The Prince of Wales. The work he has done through his charity to help young people is quite remarkable.”
