The women of Wisteria Lane don’t want to deceive us and reveal some gossips, as any normal neighbourhood mom would do. Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria’s co-worker in Desperate Housewives is putting to rest all the pregnanc rumours about her latino friend:

“She’s just fat, that’s all there is to it!” Huffman, declared to the press at Saturday’s re-opening of the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.

The rumours about the pregnancy have been dating since the beginning of this summer, after Longoria Parker wore a loose-fitting sundress on a shopping trip and also revealed a more than normal bikini body in July.

Even though the actress is more than eager to have children, all this weight drama is for a noble cause: her role as Gabby in Desperate Housewives. Moreover, Longoria Parker will also don a fat suit this season to play an overworked housewife when the show’s storyline jumps ahead five years.

Former Friends stars Courteney Cox Arquette and Jennifer Aniston have joined forces for a good cause.On the same wavelength is also Aniston’s former husband: Brad Pitt.

They are all serving on the honorary advisory board of Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, not to mention Cox’s husband David Arquette and fellow couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale – and Orlando Bloom, Kate Beckinsale, Rashida Jones, James Marsden and Eva Longoria Parker.

Epidermolysis Bullosa is a rare and debilitating genetic skin condition that primarily affects children. Cox and Arquette are helping spearhead the awareness- and money-raising effort on behalf of research – with a goal of $1 million in two weeks, the Associated Press reports.

“EB is very personal to me so I’m happy to be a part of this $1 million challenge,” Cox said in a statement. “Now is such an important time to put the spotlight on EB and ensure that research can continue at a fast pace.”

The Desperate Housewives actress, whose birthday was on the 15th of March5,as all smiles at the fancy dinner with soem close friends in Miami Beach.

It was previously reported by Gssip Girl that the diva had also a celebrating event into the sunshine state on Friday, following a celebrity-filled bash at her new restaurant Beso. It also sems that Eva was upset by the fact that from her Desperate Housewives colleagues, Marcia Cross was the only one present.

An insider told of the situation: “Eva’s actual birthday is on Saturday, so hopefully her co-stars will make up for it then. But she was sad that Marcia was her only TV homegirl who bothered to show up, with the rest offering weak excuses at the last minute.”

“It’s been a long pregnancy,” says English, explaining the process of setting up a fine-dining restaurant. But when it’s pointed out that he has to watch statements like that dealing with Parker, he answers, “You’re right, I have to be careful about things like that. Sorry.” But standing behind the bar at Beso as he prepared for Thursday’s grand opening, he can’t help but go back to the baby place again. “It’s happening,” he says. “We are birthing the baby.”

“I’m a little nervous too,” she says. “But at least I don’t have to cook.” She could if she had to: Unlike spoiled Gabby on on Desperate Housewives, Longoria knows how to work a frying pan: “You get pigeonholed into your character,” says English. “She’s a great cook, it comes from her soul.” Concurs Parker: “I’ll go to a restaurant and if I have an amazing dish I’ll go to the kitchen and ask the chef how he made it. And then I’ll make him teach me. You can ask [my husband] Tony [Parker], I do it all the time. I’ll leave him at the table for like 30 minutes.”

English says the actress has been very involved in the restaurant’s creation – from the etched Spanish poetry at the restaurant’s entrance (including one poem from Eva’s sister Emily), to picking out the three chandeliers which decorate the ceilings, to adding two specialties of the house – the guacamole and the tortilla soup. “I make the best guacamole in the world,” says Parker. “And my tortilla soup for which I am renowned for.” (Can’t make it to Beso? I love this hispanic blooded woman. She was the reason I started watching Desperate housewives. And with all the screenwriters’ strike over, Eva Longoria-Parker is returning to Wisteria Lane – and getting back in shape. Yeey.

“We’re back and it’s like we never left,” Longoria-Parker told Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles while accepting a donation for the children’s cancer charity, Padres Contra El Cancer. “We were such a well-oiled machine before we broke so stop was jolting.”

Having dismissed pregnancy rumors in January by pointing to her strike-induced indulging, the Desperate Housewives star is back to her work health regiment.

“I’m working out, I’m eating my healthy food I get prepared,” she said with a sigh. “It is so much easier being in shape when you’re on the show because you have a chef and the gym is right there, so you really have no excuse.”

Fresh off a plane from San Antonio, and heading to catch a place to New York, quality time with husband Tony Parker may be limited, but the actress is still in honeymoon mode.

“We’ve only been married seven months so I hope the spice is alive on it’s own!” she laughed.

Along with her work on the show, Longoria-Parker has another project: her new Latin restaurant Beso opens in Los Angeles on Thursday.
