Britney Spears and Mel Gibson had dinner together

Britney is starting to recover and to meet some normal people for a change.She had a dinner meeting with actor Mel Gibson on Saturday. She was sure relly happy that day as she also visited her kids in the morning.

The actor and the pop star were once neighbors in an exclusive Malibu community.They had dinner in a Russian restaurant- Romanov-for two hours.

“It was exciting to have both of them here together,” says one restaurant source. “We heard they hit it off and that Britney seemed excited.”

How was Britney dressed? Jeans, a green top, boots and of course chewing gum. She arrived at the Romanov restaurant with her friend Victoria and Gibson was accompanied by a few friends. The group dined in the restaurant’s private dining room. Don’t imagine something glam…It has only a 24-karat gold leaf ceiling, an ornate fireplace and a library stocked with such works as Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace.

Leaving the restaurant for her Studio City home around 8:15, Spears “looked happy,” says an observer, “so it seems the meeting was a success.”
